Not sure about lacrosse? This clinic is for you!
FCLA is offering through the Folsom Parks and Recreation Department two
Beginners lacrosse clinics Wednesdays July 28 and Aug. 4 at the Folsom Sports Complex. This is an ideal opportunity for players interested in learning basics about the game and requires no equipment for participants. If you know someone who may be interested in the game let them know about these dates!
The clinics held at Kemp Field behind the complex are open to both boys and girls, 4th grade to 12th grade and are offered from 9-11 a.m. Participants are asked to wear athletic clothing and shoes. Equipment will be provided.
Clinics will introduce participants to the fastest growing team sport in Northern California and will teach skills in proper stick handling, cradling, passing, shooting, as well as defensive skills. Local coaches and players will conduct the clinics designed for the beginner player.
Cost is $25 for Folsom residents and $32 for athletes outside of Folsom. Download and print a registration from the Folsom Parks and Recreation web site at http://www.folsom.ca.us/depts/parks_n_recreation/guide.asp or call 355-7285 for registration information.
This is an opportunity for anyone interested in lacrosse to learn more about "fastest game on two feet." Folsom Cordova representatives will be on hand to answer questions about local opportunities for lacrosse teams. Additional lacrosse information can be obtained by calling 538-0914.
